My Amazon Wishlist
If there would be anything I would want for Christmas, it would be books...I love them, and I try to read them as much as possible (when I make the time). And since it occured to me that I rarely ask for any personal favor from anyone here, I figured I would post my Amazon Wishlist and see what happens. If any of you out there feel extra generous this Christmas season, by no means, do not be shy...feel free to get one (or more) of the books from my Amazon Wishlist. I will be forever greateful, and I promise I will send you a thank-you note. :)
On a more serious note, I rarely buy unimportant books, so whatever books I aquire are likely theological in nature, and whatever I read, I often share with all of you folks.
So again, here is my Amazon Wishlist.

AJ - 32 books? Come on man...you should see my library at home :)by Virgil - 29 Nov, 2005 - 19:40:35
AJ - yes, the smiley face is a thing I do instinctively now...like :) and again :)I'll try to be more frowny and serious in the future. Or should I start using the annoying LOL and IMHO type lingo? I am just TOL here...M8B I will.

On second thought that's way too lame. I'll stick with my smiley face. :)

Why would someone use IMHO anyway? That's just like starting a sentence with "Honestly" or "To tell you the truth" or something like that.
Isn't that suggesting that you're usually NOT honest, but this is an exception?
:)

Jeremy...that's one impressive wishlist. I thought I was the only one into Eliade. Glad to see you find his work interesting too!I "borrowed" a few titles from you for my list too....I hope you don't mind.

I'm sure you guys would like to see mine - theology, history and politics. I bought over $700 of books from Borders/Amazon a couple of years ago. To show their appreciation they sent me a cool $2 soup bowl!http://www.amazon.com/gp/re...

Hey...I thought this was about MY list!!Hehe, I am joking guys. Apparently more people than I thought use the Wish list feature in Amazon. Way to go!

I love it, but my problem is that I put books on the list 2 -3 times as fast as I buy them, but I buy about twice as many as I have time to read...BigD

BigD, I have the same problem...that's why I am hoping for some decent Christmas gifts this year. I asked for ALL books! How geeky is that?!by BigD - 09 Dec, 2005 - 11:10:23
good idea though, partially trained my in-laws to buy a book off my list. I have a box of junk from them in my closet that I've collected over 20 years - what I call my "I met my obligation to buy you a gift" junk!BigD
