Statistics: Going to Hell
I will start a new series on "statistical analysis" of modern Christianity and its take on Biblical and contemporary issues.
Note: I am getting emails from people about this. This IS "tongue-n-cheek" guys, not actually what I believe. I can't believe I have to actually explain it! :)

What changes did your new research yield?by PlymouthRock - 17 Jun, 2008 - 18:24:57
Virgil,BTW, can my father and I have store credit for Biblical Apocalyptics?
by Mickey - 17 Jun, 2008 - 18:38:53
Virgil,Why does your probabily chart go to 120?
Does not probability range from 0.0 to 1.0 or at worst 0% to 100%

Virgil,You need a sub chart to categorize all forms of Preterist from partial, full, amill, postmill, comprehensive grace, Pantelism, AD70 rapturist and last but not least the “two millennia” variety.
I would be very interested in seeing where those probabilities lie so that I might sleep better tonight.
Norm
PS. Oh I almost forgot, how silly of me <:-) “Covenant Creationist”. Of course these need further extrapolations between the “free-willers” and “sovereign-gracers”.

Preterist are worse than homosexuals? WOW.-Rich

Mickey,The chart goes to 120% because we are more than certain that Brian McLaren is going tell.
Virgil,
What I'd like clarified is: Is it 40% likely that all preterists will go to hell. Or does the chart show that 40% of preterists will go to hell, and 60% will go to some other place (Limbo?).
If it's the later, then preterists are a bigger compared to hypo-"orthodox"-"partial" preterists than I would have ever thought.
If it's the former, then Calvinism is dead. Your chart proves it. :)
Rich,
Yes, preterists are worse than homosexuals. Homosexuals can repent. Preterism and Catholocism are the only unforgiveble sins that Protestants know of.
by Virgil - 17 Jun, 2008 - 20:04:18
Plymouth, I will send you a few books tomorrow (my pick since there is really no bookstore anymore) and I will also drop a check in mail for you.Rich, yes, JL explained the whole thing eloquently.
Mick, McLaren hits 110% and Excel created the chart on its own.
Of course, this graph does not allow for annihilationism since modern Christianity does not either. :)

Virgil,I don't see ex-wives on the chart. Don't they go to hell? Or was that just what I told her to do the last time I saw her? I can't remember...it's all too fuzzy.
by PlymouthRock - 18 Jun, 2008 - 00:09:23
Virgil,Thanks. I already own "Dead Sea Scrolls","The Day and the Hour", "Sketches of Jewish Social Life","The Temple, Its Ministry and Services" and "Before Jerusalem Fell"
I am very sorry to hear about the demise of the Bookstore.

Sam, who is that?

Virg, lol. Hey, Rich, you crodigy old man, you are worse than all of us!
Sam
Jer, I read your stuff.....sniff, sniff

As a researcher, I'm disappointed in your chart, particularly because it doesn't seem to account for the skewing effect of in-category variations. "Homosexuals" is too broadly defined to have statistical significance. It does not, for instance, account for sub-categorical variances in damnability between "middle-aged churchgoing lesbians" and "hot wild co-ed lesbians."Clearly, more research is needed.
by Virgil - 19 Jun, 2008 - 10:43:27
David, yes, that is a very good observation as the analysis does not factor those nuances. More research is needed, and I am certain that the "Conservatives" browsing the Internet for "hot wild co-ed lesbians" are already researching the issue.
And if I wasn't going to hell up to this point, I am sure to go now after posting this comment!by Ed Burley - 19 Jun, 2008 - 11:23:52
Hey what about us libertarians who are searching the net for "preterist girls gone wild"?by Rich - 19 Jun, 2008 - 12:36:34
Sam,Then I want my own category. heh heh heh Virgil, could you take care of that?
JL,
Oh'man that was funny, yes, stated very well.
Jer,
I just got, after reading it for the fifth time, your post. The one where your quoted the title of Virgil's graph "going to hell" coupled with your reply, "nobody reads my stuff".
That was funny!
And yes, I know, I'm a little slow.
by Rich - 19 Jun, 2008 - 12:37:49
